I have recently purchased an Unlocked Dell Streak 7  3G WiFi here in Australia.

Very happy with it except I have one small problem, every time I switch it on there is a Dell Software Update waiting to Download.

The problem is the Download won't Download, I can't contact Dell for Help ( The support page just goes around in circles, even with a Service Tag# (Which Dell insists makes my device a Streak) or even find out what the Download is for, let alone how to get the Download to work.

The Download is from "mobileupdate.dell.com" and is LG7_820W_513_20588_00.pkg

Each time I select the Download it asks that Wifi or Data connection be enabled and when OK is selected NOTHING happens.

I have a 3G SIM card which works perfectly for all Internet connection and functions, but I do not have WiFi, even when I enable WiFi nothing happens when I select OK.

So what is this Software Update and how do I get it to work?
