VNXe3150 VAAI support ?
Hello,
A client of mine recently purchased a VNXe3150 to host some NFS Datastores for their VMware 5.1 environment. After checking the VMware HCL, it doesn't seem that VAAI is supported on the 3150 yet. The VNXe is running the latest version of code 2.4.0.20932.
Any idea when VAAI will be supported on the VNXe3150?
Thanks in advance!

Hello csnyders,
VNXe Operating Environment MR2 introduced in March 2012 included support for VAAI. Please review previous discussion threads which provide more context:

Hi Graeme,
Thank you for the response. I've read both of those threads previously and understand that VAAI was released in VNXe OE MR2.
Unfortunately, even though my client is currently running the latest version of VNXe OE and vSphere 5.1 with the latest VAAI patch (EMCNasPlugin-1.0-10.zip) installed on all hosts, I can't seem to get my Storage Hardware Acceleration Status to move from "Not Supported" to "Supported".
Any tips on that?
So far:
- EMCNasPlugin-1.0-10.zip installed on hosts via VUM baseline (Host Extension)
- The following are all set to 1 (enabled):
DataMover.HardwareAcceleratedMove
DataMover.HardwareAcceleratedInit
VMFS3.HardwareAcceleratedLocking
- I get the following output from the CLI when running "esxcli storage core device vaai status get"
VAAI Plugin Name:
ATS Status: unsupported
Clone Status: unsupported
Zero Status: unsupported
Delete Status: unsupported
Thanks
