DVD DECODER FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10

Question

hi i just installed a pioneer dvd player in my dell 2400. Now when i first booted up 2 beeps no device found. Then i looked at it and the cable to the motheboard wasnt properly in. Fixed that booted up okay without beeps. Now, windows media player 10 needs a decoder for playing dvds i really dont want any other software. I like windows media player 10, How can i get it to play dvds? i need  a plug in or something like that. THanks!

Even with Windows Media Player, you need DVD decoder software in order for Windows Media Player to play DVDs.  Such softwarer should have come with the DVD player. Steve

yeah thanks i dug it up. and it worked. Thanks. i thinks it is called power dvd.
