Hi,

I'm testing DDBoost over FC in a Netbackup 7.5.0.6 environment. Data Domain is configured and all zoning etc seems to be working fine.

The Data Domain FC name is "DFC-BASDD002". The media server I'm trying to persuade to use ddboost over fc is Win2003 R2 64bit and already works an an IP server using ddboost plugin 2.6.3.1-439355.

Data Domain is visible to the windows OS but is showing up in device manager in "Other Devices" with a question mark:

When I try the netbackup command to register the datadomain fc it fails:

nbdevconfig -creatests -stype DataDomain -storage_server DFC-BASDD002 -media_server dwb004.dcsit.net

RDSM has encountered an issue with STS where the server was not found: getStorageServerInfo

Failed to create storage server DFC-BASDD002, invalid command parameter

What am I doing wrong?
