Good Morning,

I have been having a few problems with my alienware 17 R1/R5?. Here are the problems and i hope someone can help. (not sure if its an R1 or R5 because they both look the same?)

1. Screen flickering black and white to a point i cannot see what im doing. - I have replaced the screen and problem still occurs, so i have ordered a new lcd cable which arrives monday. Anyone had this before?
2. BD-ROM Drive HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA40N - OPU Test - Failed - Will this affect anything? i dont really use the DVD drive so not that bothered but could i have a part number for this incase i ever decide to sell laptop.
3. C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check to to make sure the disk is properly inserted. - Laptop loaded to the desktop and gave that error but now it loads up until the windows clock where the profile used to be and wont go past that. Is there anyway i can repair it? as i cannot get into windows to do system repair. Also will the BD Rom error have anything to do with this?

Any help will be much appreciated. If anyone requires more information.
