I have an 8200 now and I think I will be waiting until dell gets the ati9600 in an inspiron until I buy my next one but what kind of processor should I get for the best gaming performance?

They have the Pentium-M now in the 8600s for example and I was wondering at 1.7ghz how that compares to my 1.8ghz p4m in the 8200 and how these compare to the 3.2ghz with HT in something like the 5150?  Is the new 3.2ghz in the 5150 the same setup as my 1.8 in the 8200 but just faster clock speeds?  What are the advantages and disadvantages of each type of processor?  Is the HT technology a noticeable advantage over the single threaded processors like I have now or the M?

Also, I noticed they offer the 7200rpm hard drives and was wondering if this makes a significant difference as well.  I have the 60gb in my 8200 and I think that one is a 5400rpm.  The other drives offered for the 8600 I think were 4200.  Is it just the speed at which the data is found that increases or the speed that it is read at?  Is it proportionate with rpm where I would be getting nearly twice the performance out of a 7200 rpm drive or not?  I would like bigger than 60gb because I use about 50 of mine now but I don't want to sacrifice performance much so can the inspirons handle 2 hard drives at the same time?  I currently have the dvd and cdrw separate drives in my 8200 but in the new one it will be a combined dvdrw unit so can I add a second hard drive to that other bay?

Basically I want to get a system where I don't bottleneck the thing with a certain component.  I also want to get a system that is a great bang for the buck and when I read the nvidia 5650 was in some cases 400% slower than the ati9600 I decided to wait.  I could care less about weight and power consumption especially since I know dell won't be building tank like laptops anyway.

I know some of you are big time gamers on this forum so do the rest of us a favor and make this a good informative thread on buying a laptop for gaming and what to look out for.  Hopefully lots of people can learn at least the basics and most important things.  Thanks much.
