Hello,

At once (two days ago).... when I wanted to start my 5000e, the displays stays black.

I can hear the harddisk starting up, checking cd-drive and diskette drive... then two loud beeps (hardware check??)

 

The display stays dark black (no slight colour change) so I suggest no power on the screen.

I tried an external monitor, but this doesn't work either. I thought it might be a defect connection cable from laptop to display,...but why doesn't the external monitor work either.

 

Now I don't know the problem (or solution).

Please help me to solve this problem.
