Solved!
Go to SolutionPower connect 3524 console access problem
I am able to connect to the console. A reboot with console active (putty) shows all text properly formed until I get to %INIT_I_Startup: Cold Startup.
If I then press enter I get the following
"
%y Unrecognised command
console>
"
Pressing a gives
o% unrecognised command
b = '%
c =N%
d= console cursor flashes back to start of line then returns right of console> prompt
e = M%
f=&%
g=L
h= carriage return/newline
i= K%
j=%%
k=J%
I think you get the picture.
Port settings 9600 8 1
Parity None ( have tried all options)
Flow control off (have tried all options)
VT100+
UTF-8
All other putty options default
I need to reset the device and the only way is via the console and that I can not get into.
Pressing enter or esc to abort the autoboot process does not work probably becuase the input is getting scrambled
Have also tried
Another keyboard
Tera Term
Several different cables
3 different computers (1 Win 10 laptop. 1 winxp laptop) Main computer on win10 AMD Ryzen 3700 (this one)
Help.
Please.
