PV 120t DDS4 Autoloader--BE Errors--Job Fails?

I have a PV 120t, DDS 4 autoloader installed on a Dell PE 2500 with Windows 2000 SP2.  My backup software is Backup Exec version 9.1.

When running my backup jobs I will get the following error in MS Event Viewer.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Backup Exec
Event Category: Devices
Event ID: 33152
Date:  2/14/2004
Time:  4:20:29 PM
User:  N/A
Computer: Server
Description:
Adamm Mover Error: Write Failure!
Error = ERROR_IO_DEVICE
Drive = "DELL 2"
    {257B8941-3100-415B-806F-76EF470732A3}
Media = "Seagate 2004/01/17.09:00:30"
    {CB1A188E-3EB5-4264-8F21-83C6962165A4}
Read Mode: SingleBlock(0), ScsiPass(0)
Write Mode: SingleBlock(0), ScsiPass(0)
Data:
0000: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00   ........
0008: 00 00 00 00 00 00         ......

This will cause the backup job to fail and all other jobs scheduled after that will be queued.  The drive will then show up as being offline.

There will be a hardware error on the 120T and the only way to resolve this (make it so the drive is usuable) is to cycle the power on the unit and then restart the BE services.  The driver being used for the tape drive is the one that came with BE.

There is no consistency as to when the job will fail, it might be at 5gb or 98 gb or anywhere in between.

I also get the following errors in the Event log shortly after a few of the first error.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Backup Exec
Event Category: None
Event ID: 57665

Description:
Backup Exec Alert: Device Error
(Server: "Server") Robotic library hardware error.

The robotic library has reported a general hardware error condition. Manual intervention, calibration, etc., may be required. This may be a device related hardware problem, or it may be some other hardware problem (i.e. SCSI card/bus etc.). The library and drive states have been set to offline. Please attend to this condition.
