My 1520 came with XP Pro. I decided to try Vista out and so I decided to dual boot XP with Vista. I decided today to delete the Vista partition because I never used it, and I like XP. Anyway, I remember using QParted before to mess with partitions, and it worked then. This time it didn't.

 

I put in the Vista DVD that I have and ran the following command to make sure it would boot into XP when I restarted:

 

D:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force

 

That worked, so I decided to stick the Kubuntu Live CD and use QParted (I realize now that was a bad idea) to format the Vista partition then grow the XP partition to the right to fill the unallocated space. It went well, but when I restarted, my XP partition is still read as the same size, so basically about half my hard drive is not accessible. QParted sees it as one ~100GB partition, but XP sees it as ~50GB C: drive.

 

Any thoughts on what I should do to get the rest of the space back?
