HD Partioning
Hello,
I’m going to install another version of Windows XP in a DELL Inspiron 600m notebook in Portuguese, and, for that, will use Partition Magic 8.0. In order to easily boot one version of the OS or the other, I have to install another application named Boot Magic, which comes in the PM CD. However, I’m not getting to install Boot Magic because I get an error message saying that I need to have a FAT or FAT32 partition created in my hard disk. Well, PM shows me that I have a 50 MB FAT partition named DELLUTILITY (*: )- whose content I don´t know - however, its status in PM is set to “None” and also, it has that asterisk next to its name, which I think that means that the partition is hidden or not active.
So, my question is, should I create another FAT partition using PM just to install Boot Magic or can I simply change the status of DELLUTILITY (*: ) to “Active” and use it?
