local hard drive failure

....last month i has a corrupt hard drive, rebuilt everything was fine......then i woke this morning and attempted to check email and computer was froze.....wouldnt un freeze so i turned it off cold...turned it back on and just the windows icon with the blue bar (progress bar) kept blinking for too long.....turned it off again unplugged for 10 seconds then opened it in safe mode ....tried to use a restore point but there wernt any excepet back in march(which makes no sense)......turned it off again used last good config and it opened in regular mode....ran a virus sweep (etrust7.0) nothing ......went into event log and there were tons of warnings (event 51)"

(backed everything up)......Ran check disc on it and there were maybe 1000 errors

it did a bunch of deleating and it actually finshed the process.....my computer is up and running but i believe it is unstable.....my cousin whose a tech said get a new one(hard drive) , my tech said get a new one, and i was wondering if you had anythoughts........is there a way to tell if its unstable or has it already told me its unstable.......

if i have to replace i found the drive its a wd raptor wd1500adfd 150 gb 10,000 rpm 16 mb cache sata150 hard drive oem ..any thoughts on this drive



luckily i was able to back everything up except two mp3s .and one tiff.....

since then the next day i got a warning that nfts on c: was corrupt and unreadable

anythoughts would be appreciated
