Just would like to know if it is recommended t keep the systems booting from SAN, off line, during DMX microcode upgrades ?

Any one knows how IBM AIX LPARS / Solaris LDOM guests behave during DMX out-of family code upgrade? Is it safer to keep them offline or not needed ?
