Hi everyone, I have a mixed environment with a few servers running ESXI 4, and ESXI 5.

I have dell open  manage installed on the servers. 

Most are running Open Manage 6.5

 

In the days of non virtualization I know that open manage would report errors to the event logs.

 

I'd like to now have a way to monitor the errors in open manage.

 

I have been reading about SNMP, but I am still not sure what I have to do.

Do I have open manage send SNMP to the ESXI host?
Do I have open manage send SNMP to dell open manage essentials?
Do I have open maange send SNMP to something else?

 

I have read some documents on this, but just get more confused and not sure what needs to be set up.
