Hi, i have a Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop with XP Home on it. I am planning on reformatting the Hard Drive completely, removing all the existing partitions including the hidden Dell ones, and then installing XP Pro.

My question is, what is the PBR and will it be removed or reset when a fresh copy of Windows is installed so it doesn't need to check for all 3 of Dells partitions on boot.
