Aurora R1, USB Power Share

Hi,

I have a alienware aurora r1 with Intel Core i7 920. I recently bought a charging dock for my mouse but since it has to be plugged in the computer I cannot use it when I shutdown the system. I dont think the aurora r1 has any usb powershare ports. Is there anyway I can add one to the system or make any changes to the bios that will enable a usb powershare?

Go to BIOS, look for

Power Management Setup
_Suspend Mode

Try S4, save, exit, see if USB port has power during hibernation.

S4 - Hibernate

Power to most hardware is shut off.

S5 - Off

Everything is off.  This is known as a shutdown.

As an aside, an alternative option is to plug it into a dock with a power source.

At the time of the R1 I believe that feature was limited to laptops.  If you have it, you'd have one or two USB ports with the powershare logo next to it, plus an option to enable powershare in BIOs.  I don't think the Aurora R1 has that feature, though.
