I currently have an Alienware R8 with 1TB M.2 NVME drive (boot) and a 2 TB SATA HDD (data).

I would like to drop an 1TB Samsung EVO 860 (SATA SSD) into a 2.5" drive bay, to store video edits. However, I see conflicting replies as to whether Samsung SATA SSDs are compatible with the motherboard. Based upon the dates of some of the replies, I'm wondering if this is a past issue which has been addressed.
