ATA Controller into standard DAE?

Hi all,

we're running a CX700 with Flare 26.

We have a huge bunch of ATA disks which we want to use, but don't have a DAE2-ATA handy but some unused FC DAEs. And we could get some used ATA controllers for a little money.

Can I simply swap the original controllers (p/n 005348489) with ATA controllers (p/n 118032227) in an existing DAE (p/n 005047998) to make it work with ATA drives?

Thanks in advance,

-Chris

No. The ATA DAE is wired internally different than the FC DAE. To use the ATA disks, you need the DAE-ATA.

Thanks, Glen.

I'll see to get a real ATA DAE.
