DELL HARDWARE PRE-REQUISTIES FOR COMPELLENT REMOTE INSTANT REPLICATION
1) WHAT ARE THE PRE-REQUISTIES FOR REPLICATION BETWEEN DELL COMPELLENT SC040 TO THE UPGRADED COMPELLENT MODEL ON THE DR SITE.
2) WHAT ARE THE IMPLEMENTATION STEPS THAT NEEDS TO BE PERFORMED ON THE PRIMARY SITE COMPELLENT BEFORE REPLICATING ITS DATA TO THE SECONDARY SITE COMPELLENT SC8000

1. Both need Replication licensing, you need an Enterprise Manager server managing both arrays, either FC or iSCSI communication needs to be setup between both arrays, enough capacity in DR to receive the replications, SCOS code versions should match (it will work with close code versions but is recommended to be at the same level). controllers and disk hardware on the backend do not need to be identical.
2. Everything above needs to be in place, then just follow the guide to setting up replications in the Administration Guide.
