SNMP stats from the SC into Cacti?
Has anyone been able to record performance metrics from the SC40 and put them into Cacti? I tried a couple of generic linux templates but no luck.

Doug,
Resurrecting an oldie here. I recently acquired a Compellent system and I also use Cacti for performance monitoring and general graphing over time.
While I don't have any direct answer for you I do know that after doing an snmpwalk against the SC40 we really get very little useful data back. Dell does provide a "Compellent MIB" for download via the KC but quite honestly it is pretty worthless to anyone who would like to translate the snmpwalk results. All that MIB does is assist with SNMP traps which I don't use.
I think though that ultimately the answer lies in the amount of data you get back after doing an snmpwalk of the entire OID tree against the SC and again, there's not much there. That means that Dell does not expose any useful data via SNMP. I have heard that a few people have gotten some metrics from PowerShell scripts but that doesn't help anyone on Linux (like me) or really anyone who uses Cacti to graph data.
