Lost order

I’ve ordered a monitor from Dell and have been notified that it’s been sitting in a delivery depot for a week. 

I cannot get any response to phone calls or email enquiries with the shipping company and cannot get through to anyone in dell on chat or phone. 

Patience is exhausted and I just want to cancel the order and pick up a monitor from a local shop - any one have any idea how I can do this?  

the dell support pages just bounce you around and seem to suggest that non-delivery of despatched goods isn’t a reason for cancellation (note: the monitor has been shipped on time from Dell and is with their third party - it’s not like it was on a boat from China).
