Customarily a warranty extension is active after your initial warranty has expired, but if you are talking about renewing an expired warranty, this can depend on the start date you selected and usually shows active within 24 hours across our internal systems. You can visit our support page and enter the service tag of the system to see if the warranty is showing as active.
