Data Domain migration from old to not new system

Hi folks,

I need to do a migration for backups with 2 years retention from a Data Domain to another Data Domain which is not new. That means the destination DD is already used for backups and the filesystem cannot be destroyed. All the migration paths which I found in this forum and on support.emc.com are doing some kind a collection replication from DD A to DD B and for that a new filesystem needs to be configured an the destination DD.

Is there another way of doing a migration?

I only can think of using NetWorker cloning for this. I would create a backup clone pool on the destination DD and run nsclone jobs to bring the backups from the source DD into the new pool.

What do you think? Any suggestions are appriciated.
