ES20 expansion licensing
Hello everyone!
I'm facing quite uncommon problem.
I have DD565 system and I would like to use it for one POC project in my test lab. But I need bigger capacity which physically is not a problem as a have plenty of ES20 shelves available. But I need capacity license for using them.
I do realize the system is very old and quite a long time EOSL.
Is there a way to get this license somehow?
I assume theses license keys are not tied to system's S/N.
Any comments/ideas welcome.
Thanks.

I think you can probably get license if there is active maint contract which I doubt there is for something so old... but then again, I see why not sell add on capacity if system supports and have it that way without support contract so best thing is to contact Dell sales.

Some research revealed that the license not required for ES20 shelves produced before 10/24/2011. Which is exactly my case.
But anyway for DD565 Active tier maximum capacity is 16.4 TiB and maximum 2 shelves officially supported.
Alhough I've found a way to attach more then 2 shelve and even expanded filesystem, but still mentioned above limit persists.
So probably this is it...
