How to run or schedule a Custom Control Panel ?

Has anyone had success running or scheduling a custom control panel in version 6?

I have 2 reports that run in the Run Reports area, and have them built into a custom control panel, but there doesn;t seem to be any "RUN NOW" button, nor anywhere where I can configure a schedule to get the control panel to run. I've tried creating a navigation menu, and adding the control panel to it, but still, there's nowhere to run it or to schedule it to run.

Any tips wouold be helpful.
