Hi Don, we actually replaced it with a used Dell Equallogic drive not an OEM drive but it's not working. Thus I am just wondering must the firmware version be exactly the same? Or we can use a lower version firmware?
We got a used Equallogic HDD with firmware EE06 which is the same firmware the PS6110xv is on, and clear the RAID label and it works again. I have also gotten a quote from Dell for the support renewal but it's still pending management approval.

Does it matter when this replacement disk comes with a valid raid config from a different member? So is it necessary to wipe the disk first?

Is it different for PS6100xv? Because we spoke to Dell support and they told us it's only certain firmware that is accepted in PS6100
