When youre sure that you have setup the optional management of a EQL group check if there is a Firewall between your browser with the java applet and the EQL group IP. IIRC there is port 3003 together with the 80/443 needed. Connecting via SSH to the EQL Group is also possible.

Your volume need a propper ACL so that the server is allowed to connect. Check with a "ping" first if the server can reach the iSCSI WKA of the EQL.

When using Windows as OS on the server you might want to install the latest EQL HIT Kit.

Is your Host which trying to connect to the EQL management WKA located in the same subnet or a different one?

If its the same than you only have to look to the Host FW. If not than there is mostlikly  a security device on your gateway or behind. So ask the network administrator if he can check the logs for ports which are blocked.

Why you cant use a Host which is located in the subnet of the EQL? Makes life much easier for administration :)

im not sure why I can't get on the same subnet as the host I tried setting the interfaces as such but no reply could be a vlan issue

so I am best off making the SAN ip addresses in the same subnet as the machines I wanrt to access it?

so basically I would share the volume from the server to any other host machines?

so there would be no way to give access to different machines outside of the vlan?

would a  WS-C3750X-48T-S  be sufficient?
