If you're building a maintenance image for ImageAssist, you do not need to use audit mode. The tool will Sysprep the image for you and generalize it prior to capturing it. During the process, it will also provide you the option in the Unattend Creator to "copy profile". Audit mode is not required for copy profile to work, but you will want to use the local admin account to ensure the copy profile works.
