Dedicated Graphics
Hey, forgive me for mistakes that I may make in this post since this is my first one, but I my dell inspiron started to lag when I played games. It is by no means crazy good for games, but before that day, my performance was decent. I then tried fixing it, but I couldn't find any solutions. I came to the conclusion (although it could be wrong) that my laptop is not using its dedicated graphics. I tried opening my games from the AMD software, and I also tried to change my performance to high performance through the graphics settings in the display settings. It still lags even though I did all this so I think that my games are just not using my dedicated graphics. Any fixes?

You can check for dedicated graphics. Open Device Manager by right clicking on the start button and checking display adapter. Laptops all have integrated video but some also have a discrete card. If you have a card, it will say AMD Radeon 530. But it is usually a supplemental card on a laptop and supplies extra video power when needed.

Just checking to see if you've done the basics here in this article.

Others that have experienced performance problems with the switchable AMD graphics card have used an older Bios version 1.1.8 to solve their gaming problem in the 5570 model.

I did everything that was mentioned in the post that you linked but it still did not solve the problem

It said that my fan processors did not respond correctly and I cleaned out the fans, but I doubt that this is the cause of my problem as I still think my discrete graphics card is not being used.
