Latitude, hinge issue

i have had the same issue with my company's fleet of Latitude 5410 and  5420 laptops. The hinges in this case do not even appear to be broken however, just from normal use we have more than a dozen laptop screens crack at the bottom where the hinge is. 

Dell support will fight you, saying this is damage due to misuse/abuse but its not. i am a dell certed repair tech and i have looked every one of them over and see no signs of abuse. lucky for us, all our laptops are covered under full warranty.
