Startup problem on Latitude e6530

I have a strange problem with my Dell Latitude e6530.

Periodical it is unable to boot completely. The post does run, the Windows 10 logo appears, then blank screen.

If I then hold the power button until it shuts down, and start it immediately afterwards, the PC startup normally.

The problem appear first time just after I updated to latest bios version from the Dell homepage.

Until now I have tried the following:

  1. Re-installed Windows
  2. Reset Bios to default settings
  3. Removed battery and turned on without it
  4. hold Fn and run diagnostics (no problems found)
  5. Updated all drivers to latest

Any suggestions on how to solve this ?

Hi phahh3,

You have performed the possible steps required for the issue reported, you can try reseating the hard drive cable.

Update BIOS from the given link https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=vtvjj&oscode=wt64a&productcode=latitude-e6530

Update hard drive firmware from the given link https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=05f88&oscode=wt64a&productcode=latitude-e6530.

Now I have updated to the latest BIOS:

And I have upgraded my RAM and Harddrive in the PC, therefore I don't have the original Seagate harddiskanymore. I took it as a clue to check the firmware on my harddrive, and have now also upgraded to latest version of firmware on my Samsung Harddisk:

I don't know yet if the upgrades have worked to solve my issue, but I will report back here as soon as I have tested over a short period of time.
