Hello -

Last weeks my new Precision 450 has Windows Explorer crashes: first when I tried to save files “Save As”, then when I tried to open files “Open”, later if double clicked on file from directory, and at least, if I touched a directory only.
Sometimes it gives messages like that:
“ANY application error. The instruction at “0x77f585c0” referenced memory at “0x00000000”. The memory could not be “written”. Click OK to terminate the program.”
The memory addresses differ but are close each other.
I know that sometimes crashes occur if computer gets a worm. I scanned it viruses Norton
Corporate Edition (last update 11/01/03, rev. 23) and with McAfee stinger. No viruses were found.
I also ran a memory test for 112 hours. It did not find an error but it did not finish test as well, because someone terminated the program accidentally. It seems that this program could run additional 100 hours or more; RAM is 1.5 GB and it made 324 passes for 112 hours.
