like everyone here - i've had the same problem with my 200N - the old overheat and shutdown.

i almost sent my comp to dell to put in a new motherboard ($800 CAD repair) and then found this forum (whew!!!)  so much for award-winning tech support?

anyway, i did the overheat repair as explained on the http://nrn15037.tripod.com site.  now when i start my comp though, my screen is black and none of the green lights below the screen light up.

i seperated the cpu from its socket during the "repair" but it fit back in no problem (so no pins are bent). 

any help (with details) would be greatly appreciated!
