2005fpw USB problem

Hello all,
I recently received my 2005fpw monitor and have run into a small issue. I have my logitech USB mouse connected to the monitor's USB ports. now the problem is whenever I play a DVD the Mouse stops working. If its connected directly to the computer's USb ports the mouse works as it should during DVD playback. the only way to get it to work if its connected to the monitor is to quit the dvd and disconnect and reconnect the mouse.
has anyone else had this problem? its bizarre to say the least, oh and by the way just to make it weirder, it only happens with the use of one of my dvd drives, if i use my second drive the mouse works. any advice as to how to fix this would be appreciated.
