Hi Alphalogan,

You can find below the system requirements to run Movie Studio on your computer:

  • Microsoft® Windows® XP SP3, Windows Vista® SP2, or Windows® 7
  • 2 GHz processor (multicore or multiprocessor CPU recommended for HD)
  • 400 MB hard-disk space for program installation
  • 1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)
  • IEEE-1394DV card (for DV capture and print-to-tape)
  • USB 2.0 connection (for importing from AVCHD or DVD camcorders)
  • Windows-compatible sound card
  • DVD-ROM drive (for installation from a DVD only)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.51 (included on application disc)
  • Apple® QuickTime® 7.1.6 or later
  • Internet Connection (for Gracenote MusicID Service)

Your system can accommodate a Blu-ray (rewritable) drive, however you would also have to install software to be able to play or burn Blu-ray discs. Movie Studio is video editing software and would not play or burn Blu-ray discs.

Please reply for further clarifications.

Many thanks, most useful. Sorry forgot to add that Movie Studio 11 renders into  DVD Architect Studio for both ordinary DVD burning and BlueRay so should be OK in that regard. Also got my MBs mixed with my GBs in fact my memory is 8 GB otherwise every thing appears to be right for what I want to do. Thanks again.
