E2316H, states no DP Cable?
Hello Everyone, I bought a new Monitor and I have tried multiple HDMI cables on two different computers but it still says No DP Cable. I tried the monitor on a third computer and it worked fine. Why won't it work on the computer I need it on? Please let me know if this is a setting issue. I have tried the Input source on Auto and also on DP setting. The only other setting option is VGA. I am using a new HDMI cable and this is for a second screen set-up.

You lost me. Are you are saying that you are using this configuration =
computer HDMI out port --> HDMI to DP cable --> E2316H DP in port
If yes, that will not work. Computer HDMI cannot upconvert to a monitor DP in port.
* Go back to the top of the Monitors Forum
* Open FAQ Monitor (updated 4/24/18)
* Open "Computer VGA/DVI/HDMI out to Monitor DP/mDP in"

THE VGA hook-up would be on the monitor and the HDMI as the out port.

Yes that is what I was trying to do. Do you think a VGA to HDMI would work? Or do you have a better solution.
