Faded Yellow Color

Question

Just fired up new Dimension 4700 with E173FP Monitor.  Very bright but can live with.  The yellow folder color, however, is very faded and almost white.  Using monitor controls doesn't seem to affect the yellow color.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks very much.

sounds like a dud. Have you used the 'auto-setup' feature on the monitor and checked your videocard control panel and all that? If nothing helps just call dell tech support and get them to send you a replacement.
