Replacement support for monitors (in Canada)

I have extensive notes from a VERY painful experience dealing with Dell support for a monitor purchase.  It seems that LCD purchases don't get a service tag/express service code.  Without that, many support options are not possible (ie: chat/email).

 

I am in Canada.  I have been on hold on two different lines (one I chose the TV/Projectors option, the other the MP3/Other) for 47 minutes.  There was no choice for LCD unfortunately - and from my notes the last time I tried, I will most likely be bounced around and cutoff for the next several hours.

 

So - does anyone have any secret handshakes?  One of my Ultrasharp monitors purchased June 2007 died suddenly.  No picture...  I have my order number and customer number, but no express service code or service tag.  I am in Canada, so I am trying to call:

800 847-4096 

Three menu choices - nothing related to LCD's.  As I said, I am already an hour into this.  Is there anyway I can do this without investing half a day?
