S2722QC, USB-C stopped working

Dell S2722QC

Dell S2722QC

For 5 weeks, monitor worked great with USB-C input, also charging my laptop. Using the provided cables. Loved the minimal cables required. It stopped working. I'm now connected through HDMI.

Also, won't charge laptop. When I plug it into my laptop, the laptop gives me a message that it may be slow and lower resolution. Regardless,  the S2722QC never recognizes an input.

It will charge my phone for some reason?

I've now updated the firmware. Also installed Dell Display Manager 2.1 on the Dell laptop I use. Running Windows 11, which I believe is what came standard on my Latitude 7430.

How can I get it to work again?

Hi all, If you are having issues with USB-C monitors not being detected, please follow the steps below:

1) Check if the computer supports USB C Video output by reviewing the Technical Specifications of the Dell system here. Or if you are using another brand of PC, check the Device manual on their website.
2) If the system supports USB C output, Check if the monitor and cable work fine on a known good monitor.
3) Check if the USB ports/USB PowerShare are enabled in BIOS.
4) Disconnect all the devices from the system and perform a hard reset on the system.
5) Ensure the monitor is connected to the system directly.
6) Ensure the System BIOS firmware is upto date.
7) Ensure the Monitor firmware is upto date.
8) Restore the monitor settings to factory defaults and check if the issue is resolved.

The S2722QC is still registered to Amazon. Go here, enter the private S2722QC Service Tag. Then click, "Register your device".

* Turn the S2722QC off
* Disconnect every cable and peripheral from the S2722QC, incuding the power cable
* Press and hold the S2722QC power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect only the power cable and the 1m USB-C cable to the S2722QC. Now retest connecting to the Latitude 7430 two TB4/USB-C ports
