Stop DDPM 2.3.0 from opening on boot up
Note: Dell Engineering is working on a permanent fix which is planned for release by the end of September 2026 (subject to change). Until then, use one of the workarounds below.
Option 1: Reinstall DDPM
* Open DDPM
* Export your DDPM settings by navigating to Settings > Export Settings, and Save the file to a known location
* Uninstall DDPM through Settings > Apps > Installed apps, locate Dell Display and Peripheral Manager, and select Uninstall
* Download and reinstall DDPM from HERE
* During installation, on the final setup screen, Uncheck the "Launch Dell Display and Peripheral Manager at startup" checkbox
* After installation, open DDPM and import your previously saved settings by navigating to Settings > Import Settings
Option 2: Apply the Registry Patch (Administrator Required)
* Download the DDPM 2.3 Patch_pkb batch file
* If you get Privacy error, ignore it. Click "Proceed to supportkb.dell.com"
* Right-click the batch file and select Run as Administrator
* The batch file clears the leftover registry entry that causes DDPM to auto-launch after every restart or sign-in
* Restart the computer to confirm DDPM no longer opens automatically
