U2725QE, HDR usage
Hey folks! Just bought my Dell U2725QE and i'm with some doubts about the HDR.
I've activated on mine, but i think that the colors pop's on a very good way. The white is more bright, the shadows have more constrast. Didn't noticed anything "weird" at any color or any other circustances.
But researching online, some people say to don't use HDR because it will only work with HDR media and other stuff like that, so I'm in doubt.
On the user manual, I've found anything about the HDR or how it works.
I'm using a macbookpro, and i'm trying to make the dell screen looks closer to the mac screen. Even if I activate HDR inside the monitor, on mac settings there's nothing about HDR to turn on.
So, what does this HDR do? Should I keep it on all the time?

* No. HDR should only be on when viewing HDR media.
on mac settings there's nothing about HDR to turn on
* Dell is not going to know this. Post that question on the Apple Forum.
* When using a specific HDR compatible Movie or Game, HDR should be On in both the monitors Menu and in the operating system Display Settings
* When using non-HDR content like the standard Windows Desktop, Google, YouTube, etc., HDR should be Off in both the monitors Menu and in the operating system Display Settings

@DELL-ChrisM2 Nice observations.
Is there a way to make the white "more white" like HDR mode does?
If I only change the temperature, the white becomes blueish.
I was trying to use the auto temp color, it keeps the whites very white with lights on, but becomes way too yellow with lights off.
I wish I would be able to change this whitepoint without making the whole screen more yellow or blue.

Based on other U2725QE threads, Auto Brightness On leads to issues. My advice for now is turn it Off.
Then test the U2725QE OSD Menu--> Color--> Preset Modes. Page 59

Should I notice any difference using HDR on my monitor (and also mac)?
Because the only difference that I can see, is the monitor gets way brighter (also using game mode).

Dell will not know this because we only turn HDR on when actively viewing HDR compatible Movie or Game. If not actively viewing HDR compatible Movie or Game, why have it on?
