That's a Dell Wireless 1705, Atheros Wireless card, use the latest Atheros driver:

Its better to install Windows 8.1 with a UEFI BIOS and SecureBoot enabled, this usually requires a Bootable USB, see here and here:

Regarding the driver issue likely the support page is giving you the wrong driver variant for the wireless card. Please provide the hardware IDs of network controllers, display adapters and unknown devices in the device manager:
