R830 Cable

Looking for a cable to connect to H730P PCIe adapter to the backplane on R830.  I see 09MHYN and 0FKW4Y being sold on eBay for R730.   Are they supposed to work on R830?  (if not what is the part number for R830?)

Also, is there a technical specifications manual for R830 where these numbers are listed?

Thanks.

Hello, like I was saying in the previous post, not only that I can't get you exact the part# you need, but I also I learned that J14DC is not listed as compatible p/n for R830. J14DC is PERC for 14 Gen servers. That card was never validated to be used in 13 Gen servers for your information.

Aren’t there any Dell employees who can answer this?

Hello, 9MHYN is for the 14G servers such as a R740.

Part #:FKW4Y
Part Desc.:ASSY,CBL,BP3.5X8,APERC,R740
Part #:9MHYN
Part Desc.:ASSY,CBL,BP2.5X8,APERC,R740

As you can see, all R740's.

For R830
43YVF ASSY,CRD,BKPLN,X8,BAY12,R830
809G9 ASSY,CRD,BKPLN,16X2.5,R830

I see these two.

Hope this helps.

@DELL-Young E Thanks for your help, but those two are backplane assembly (8 drive & 16 drive).  I am looking for a cable to connect this assembly to the H730P on the back of the server in bay 3.

Hello, in this case, unless you have a specific service tag of the system/build that you would like to copy and follow along- I'm afraid we won't be able to give you an answer.(e.g if the PCI adaptor p/n is 44GNF then SAS cable will be p/n MFKTK but I know this only because we pulled a random system model to check out for an example, not that this fits your system) but we do not have a list of related cable in this case. Sorry I can't be of much help this time.

@DELL-Young E The service tag of the R830 is {{{Svc Tag Removed by Moderator}}}.  The H730P pci card I have is part number  0J14DC.

Ok. Thank you. I thought all H730P cards would be valid for use in H830, and didn’t realize that isn’t the case until now. I appreciate your help.
