Dell MD3860i reset/setup
Hi,
we are currently trying to get one of 2 MD3860i units back in service.
The devices were running without problems until shutdown. The data on the HDDs/SSDs was deleted, but we got the IPs and actually a password.
We can connect to the device with the MDSM and it shows us that it is in recovery mode.
- When we want to clear the recovery mode with "clear recovery mode" we get the error: Error 262 - Dbm database error.
- If we want to adjust any config, the DSM asks for a password. Unfortunately the password we were given is not accepted.
I built a cable for the serial console to reset the password here, but unfortunately that doesn't work either. I can navigate through the menu without any problems, but when I reset the password, either the controller crashes completely or an unknown error is reported.

What else can I try here? To dispose of the devices would be really too bad...
