MD1200 Multipath creation
Hi all.
I have a dell poweredge r710 with 2 enclosures disk MD1200.
All the two enclosures are connected via Perc H800 with 2 connector., we have 3 virtual disk.
Because who have configured the server, have not enabled MultiPath (we have an OS windows 2012 R2), my question is: Is possible configure the multipath now without loss data?

From the OS perspective there is only one path to the storage. The H800 is the abstraction layer which presents the VD(s) to the OS in the same way as if you have local storage on a SATA Onboard controller or PERC H700.
If you install the MS MPIO (function) it will not hurt.... because it will do nothing because there is only one path available. The opposite will be true if you have a external SAS RAID Array like MD32x0 with attached MD1200 and connecting a Host with one or more cables to each Controller. The Host will "see" every LUN multiple time and its the job of the MPIO to "fold" them together so that Windows Storage manager only display one Disk.
If you speak about redundant cabling of your MD1200 to the H800 just take a look to the docs how daisy chain or looping works and how its supportet. But again... thats redundancy from HBA to the JBOD and not on OS level. You your OS only see the one and only H800.
