MD3460 Product ID
Hi
i have a MD3460, i had to replace a controller but the product id of the controller says 38xx.
the systems says its optimal but and the part number says its for a 3460.
can this be changed?

You will likely need to contact the support team, as to change the product ID on the controller of your MD3460 you will need to login to VXshell to clear and reprogram the correct ICID. This is normally done via support as we don’t provide the password to VXshel user account to customers. Now with the ProductID you can keep in mind that the product ID has no impact on performance.

i found the command "sbbSetICID 2,0" on this forum from a dell support guy, but didnt seem to make a differance.
