MD3860i controller mismatch error
Initial issue: Controller reported a failed USB cache on controller module.
Replacement controller sent. We verified the part number of the original controller matched what we sent. After replacing that controller, the system reported back that the controller was mismatched and specifically complained about the "host interface card."
Assumed some sort of DOA issue with the replacement controller and ordered a second replacement.
2nd replacement arrived onsite replaced the controller again and got the same issue as the first controller. Same exact errors.
Moved the hose interface daughter card from the original hardware to the replacement controller and see if that fixed the error on the system complaining about a controller host adapter mismatch. Issue was not resolved.
After some troubleshooting, it was agreed that all original hardware be re-introduced to the array to see if the system recognized it as it did originally but the exact same error occurred. Controller module mismatch.
I've exhausted all options at this point and cannot figure out why this is happening. Need to get this resolved so we are running back on 2 controllers again. Please help!

Hello Xsisupport,
I am sorry you faced with this issue. Controller module mismatch error may appear due to incompatibility between RAID controller modules. To get a better understanding of this issue, may I please ask you to provide the following information:
-Dell Part Number of new controller (I would like to check compatibility)
-Service Tag of MD3860i - please send me it in Private Message
It would be also good if you could gather logs from PowerVault and send me them in Private Message
How to gather logs:
