PowerValut ME4012 -- adding expansion
hello,
we had a ME4012 with all 12x 12TB disks, one virtual pool with one ADAPT type disk group. Now we have added ME412 Expansion enclosure with same disks (12x12TB).
I'm not sure how to incorporate new disks into the system and why, where the documentation is not really helpful on reasoning over the options:
a) expand existing disk group as suggested by "Storage setup" wizard. The tool gives very cryptic message: "Due to system limitations, an ADAPT disk group could not be expanded to its full potential."
any idea what it might mean ?
b) should we create separate ADAPT disk group and add it to the pool ?
c) should we create separate Pool with separate disk group ?
Any idea or pointer on documentation describing pros'n'cons will be appreciated.

For expanding a ADAPT group all disks must be from the same type within the same TIER.
Because of that one pool always assign to a given Controller i suggest to create a new Pool so that both Controllers have something to do in your system.
