Go to SolutionReplacing failed RAID Controller on MD3220
We have a MD3220 that has a failed RAID controller. We have acquired a replacement controller, but it has newer firmware than the existing controller.
- Existing controller has firmware version 07.84.47.60
- Replacement controller has firmware version 08.20.24.60
From my understanding, once the new controller is installed it should have the configuration and firmware copied over from the existing controller. Do we need to upgrade the firmware on the existing controller first, or will the copy process downgrade the firmware?
