TL2000 Cleaning Tape Issue
G'Day all.
I have a TL2000 with 2 LTO5 drives and having a weird issue. One of the drive needs cleaning but when I try and clean it, I get an error ""HE: slider outside range, error during first slider movement Code: 94 61".
I took the lid off and watched the cleaning process, the picker grabs the tape, and tries to push it into the drive, but stops a few cms in, pauses, then pulls it out, does a little movement of the tape, and tries again. I can load all other tapes and backup is working on all other fronts.
The cleaning tapes are brand new and are working to clean the other drive.
Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

More than likely the drive is faulty, but the error code looks like a library error.
if one drive is fine then its likely to be a drive problem

Hello @defjam3,
The alert/error code that you provided is for the picker (slider blocked; error during first slider movement).
Yes, I can confirm this error is normally a hardware error that require a hardware replacement. A log analysis will confirm this issue. Is your library still in warranty? If so, the log analysis will be possible and thus, a hardware replacement.
